And do some grains digest faster than others? October 26, 2019 at 9:04 AM #12223 Kenny TroianoKeymaster @maximustroy2 I hope Jeff Mattocks chimes in here, but my understanding is that they can digest their food in about 2 or 3 hours, but grains can take longer than pellets. However, oats and sunflower seed are high fiber and can go through the system the fastest. October 26, 2019 at 8:06 PM #12232 AnonymousInactive @ Thanks Kenny! December 2, 2019 at 3:16 PM #12353 AnonymousInactive @ Does anyone have a recommendation on a specific grain mill they have liked or disliked to crack grains for mixing feed for their birds? Kenny’s podcast’s with Jeff Mattocks have got me interested. February 9, 2020 at 12:40 PM #12473 AnonymousInactive @ I recently started making my own feed using Jeff Mattocks formulas from Fertrell. I purchased a small pellet mill and I could not be any happier. I have had quite a few people asking technical questions about it so I tried to make an in depth video about the process. Check it out if you are bored and have interest and time! February 9, 2020 at 12:58 PM #12542 Kenny TroianoKeymaster @maximustroy2 That’s awesome Karen! thanks so much for sharing.
