I am raising a new breed to me that has not been standardized so there is little information on them. They were bred to perform it looks like more than be standard.. It is called the Aquila and is a hybrid bird developed as a dual purpose breed of chicken. I got my chicks and realized they are all different colors. Now as they grow out I am liking different things about each variety. As a breeder the easiest to select and perpetuate would be the recessive reds in the group. However these are the color combinations I have to work with. Any thoughts on moving forward?
- Black with black legs
- Black with black/green legs
- Black with gold leakage, black/green legs
- Black with gold leakage, green legs
- Red with yellow legs
