      • I have one hen that is spurred.  How does that translate to her offspring? In what cases will her girls have Spurs also?

      Hens with spurs is a dominant trait. Whether it’s expressed in her daughters depends on if she is homozygous or heterozygous for that trait, and what the cock is carrying in his genome. You will most likely see a small percentage of pullets with spurs. If you are diligent, and only select hens with spurs, in time, all your hens will be spurred.
