I did that 4 yrs ago i had a very bad outbreak and I killed 80 % of my yard and i kept want didnt show any symptoms and this last year i only killed 2 birds that were showing symptoms. I stopped using any medications and i only keep the strong and healthy birds. it was a big sacrifice for me and a hard pill to swallow to kill so many but im very glad that i did and now my birds are looking very good. best decision ive made.
-
I’m so glad that was the approach you decided to take. Great job!

How much feed should you feed your chickens?
-
it depends on the chickens you are raising. I have American Games, and I feed them about 4 oz a day.
I had Welsummers in the past, and they ate about 6 oz a day. -
I raise American Games, and I feed about 4oz a day, about a handful of feed.
When I raised Welsummers they got 6 to 8oz a day.
Hope this helps.
