Understand stage 4

I know stage 1 you get your seed fowl breed for season 1 if you have a pair that’s better you go to stage 3 if not you decide which seed fowl is the better one in my case it would be my hen so I would breed my best offspring stage back to mom than I pick my best brother and sister pair out of this season breeding when I go to stage 4 the transition what is my steps on this stage?

I studied the founders program for two seasons and I’m still on stage two. Brother and sister will lock in the genes of whatever they have.
